A feeble update

In an effort to give the book I'm making some exclusive material, I'm going to resort to only posting crops of many of the paintings I'm doing as of late.

These are two of them!

Also, some drawings I'll be doing won't be posted anywhere. You'll be able to see most, real time, through my livestreams, and after the release of my book, I may release a few limited run prints from it through an etsy store.

I just wanted to give a little bit of a update, as I've moved my blog towards being something for more finished pieces, and now I've let it fall by the wayside.

For more frequent updates, check out my tumblr (I post sketches there almost every day), or keep up with my facebook page or twitter.

Thanks for your understanding, and I'll try to be a little better about posting here!

Be on the lookout for an announcement about a book around CTN. I'll be launching it at that convention, so come find me!

Did a drawing with some reference from Mellissa Clarke today. From one of her... less revealing photoshoots.

Ballpoint pen

One of my favourite mediums yo work in. When I don't have a computer at least...

I'm going to be busy with some freelance stuff for a little bit, so here are a couple sketches!

Deck the halls

And my last holiday piece featuring these lovely ladies. This one went to Frances Moeller (I linked to the piece she gave me in the art trade!). I had a really fun time doing these art trades! I haven't played with two consistant characters for a while. It was a good one.

Well, I'm back home for the holidays, but I will try to keep this blog up to date with sketches and the like from my phone.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Once the secret santas have arrived, I'll post the rest of these lovely ladies :)

GIRLS: Fact + Fiction store! And some excuses.

I know, I know, I'm really slacking on the new art. I'm going to have to have a huge Christmas update at some point, because from now until then I'm basically swamped. But! I'll have two X-mas exchanges, a card, an exchange from my studio and maybe a surprise or two coming your way. I'm hoping to do a series of X-mas themed images, possibly/probably pinups, that I'll have here.

Anyway! Here is a preview of a new image! To view the whole thing, head on over to the Light Grey Art Lab's Print store for the GIRLS show!

That's it for now guys! :)

GIRLS!

You may have remembered me doing a post about the GIRLS: Fact or Fiction show! Well it's getting closer, and the books are up for preorder! I bought my copy already, and after this teaser posted by Light Grey Art Lab, I'm even more excited (and a little intimidated?).

For more information about the super-awesome book you can preorder, click the teaser above, or right here!

If you happen to be in or around Minnesota on December 7th (the day after my birthday!), then you should probably RSVP to the event and send me pictures!

I did another Jessica Rabbit for the show - and I'm just itching to share it! Unfortunately she doesn't lend herself to teaser images that well... so you'll just have to wait and see!

So many great artists are involved, so I want to shout out to my buddies in the show again! Check them out, they're all super and very talented!

Montreal

Sometimes I have to wait ten minutes at a time for exports. Today I decided to keep busy reminiscing about Montreal!

This picture was based on a little cafe and all the super cute outfits we saw!

I went to the stop motion animation festival in Montreal last week (with the lovely Shen Ramu), and it was tons of fun!! It was a really intimate international festival, and I couldn't have been more pleased. It's time to buy some clay and get cracking (lad)!

Some of the stars.

Got my sketchbook signed by Merlin Crossingham, the current creative director of Wallace and Gromit. So that was pretty fun!
